HE LOVES ME

John 21:6-8
7 Therefore that disciple whom Jesus loved said to Peter, "It is the Lord." So when Simon Peter heard that it was the Lord, he put his outer garment on (for he was stripped for work), and threw himself into the sea. 8 But the other disciples came in the little boat, for they were not far from the land, but about one hundred yards away, dragging the net full of fish. ** Isn’t it wonderful to refer to yourself as “the one whom Jesus loved? You would have to have such confidence and such a close relationship with Jesus to be able to say such a thing. I know that I can say that about my wife…. “I’m the one whom Tandi loves.” But can I say that about Jesus in my life? I feel often times I fall short of being the one whom Jesus loves but according to the Word of God, it is not by works or anything that I can or will do that causes Him to love me but by His grace and mercy. Romans chapter 5 even says that “while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.” I’ve been told and I’ve preached it myself many years ago, that even if you were the only person alive on the earth, Jesus would have still come and died on the cross for you! I’m so glad that He loves me that much!!! So as I close this session of my journal writing, I the one whom Jesus loves, prays that you will find His love for you and would fall hopelessly in love with Him.
