WHO TO FOLLOW

Heb 13:7
7 Remember your leaders who first taught you the word of God. Think of all the good that has come from their lives, and trust the Lord as they do. NLT
** Remember? Think of people who can lead you in a righteous life and then follow them. And how can you tell who those people are? “Think of all the good that has come from their lives.” If the person you are following, does not have good things coming from their lives then stop following them…. This is an amazing thing, as I watch young people (and old too) running back and forth trying to be someone their not. The thing about it is the person they are following does not have anything good at all coming from their lives. Why? I don’t know! It seems that our youth of today are running after people with worthless lives and drastically avoiding those who have good upright lives. I know I need to pray more for our youth of today and I’m talking about our CHRISTIAN youth! God help your young people wake up and see the real truth of those who they are following and turn to you for their direction. Please place good solid believers in their paths so they can have someone to follow and be blessed.

Amen! Thank you Pastor Dave - I thank the Lord for you and for Tandi and the heart you have for all of the people God has placed in your care, both young and older.

I looked up the name Christian this morning, which means "Steadfast for Christ"
Scriptures:
1 Corinthians 15:58 - Be ye steadfast, unmovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord.

1 Corinthians 6:11 - Ye are washed, sanctified, justified in the name of the Lord Jesus.

Someone said something in our small group last night that really disturbed me. I was up at 6:30 this morning reading God's word about not being ashamed of Jesus Christ and His name, proclaiming the Good News, etc. Here are
some other scriptures I read this morning:
Rev. 20:4-5, Rev. 6:9-11, 2 Cor 10:5, Mark 8:38, Romans 1:16, 1 Cor 1:18-19, 24, 1 John 2:26-27, 2 Tim 1:8, 12, Hosea 4:6

Lord, give us all Your wisdom and discernment to test every thought, word, deed by Your word, so that none of us will not be deceived and led astray from Your truth of Your word.

Roxanne

Good morning Dave & Tandy,
This is the first blog that I have ever gone into. Your words, follow someone who is not lost is so true. Many people try and follow or take the easy route, when in reality the easy route is most often the hardest. Thanks for your many word of encouragement and prayers. We do pray for you and yours that God's light and grace will always shine fom and through you. God Bless
Orvin & Barbie
