FIND YOUR PURPOSE

Acts 13:36

** I like this verse. “After he had served the purpose of God in his own generation..” I think that is the way everyone should die. After serving God’s purpose. So, what is His purpose in your generation? If you don’t know, then how will you know when your work of God’s purpose is done? A lot of people go thru life never finding the purpose they are here for. How sad it is to be just wandering thru this life tossed back and forth without nothing to set your feet on. Well, I have great news! Jesus is the Rock and Fortress of our life. You don’t have to be tossed back and forth. He is the solid rock that you can set your feet on and stand in the midst of the storms of life. And His purpose for your life? That’s for you to find in the readings of His scripture the bible. That’s why I don’t think that the bible is ever boring or hard to read because I read it like a love letter or a road map for my life. Every verse He put in there for me and I must find what He is saying to me each day. Then each day I can SERVE MY PURPOSE.

PD
This is so true about reading God's word with an attitude of it being His "love letter" to us.
I have been writing out each daily reading for the past two weeks (I am behind by two chapters, but should be caught up by tonight). Anyway, after what I received by writing out the book of John, I started contemplating about the fact that I have been a Christian for almost 15 years and still have great difficulty in remembering scriptures (and it bugs me), so I prayed about it. Not sure if the Holy Spirit prompted me, but during the past two weeks (especially in the Old Testament), I have seen things I have never seen before, thought about things I've never thought before and am remembering scriptures. I especially have always loved Psalm 19:14, but could never remember where it was. Now I do

"Let the words of my mouth, and the meditation of my heart, be acceptable in Your sight, O Lord, my strength and My Redeemer."

I am so excited about finally knowing where this Scripture is and remembering it. Writing out His words is the best way for me right now to know Him more and I do so want to know Him more.

Have a blessed day - see you this weekend.
