CHILDREN OF GOD
Gal 4:6-7
6 Because you are sons, God sent the Spirit of his Son into our hearts, the Spirit who calls out, "Abba, Father." 7 So you are no longer a slave, but a son; and since you are a son, God has made you also an heir. NIV** It is good to be a son of the most high God! If we were slaves we would not have any authority or any right to say or do what we want to do. But God sent His Spirit into our hearts and now we are sons of God. Now if you are around my children, you will know that they have not problem taking advantage of my name. They enjoy all the benefits of being a McAlister. We have taken on the name “Christian” to remind us who we belong to and what family we are a part of. We often find ourselves look in the bible to make rules of all the “thou shalt nots” and what we need to be doing is looking in the bible for all the “thou shalls.” There is so many “children of God” blessings in the bible because God wants us, His children, to know how much He loves us and all the blessings He put in there for us to enjoy. So we need to spend our lives obeying Him and enjoying all the benefits of carrying His Name.

Pastor Dave,
I am so glad to be a child of God this morning. I had a very interesting experience on the bus this morning. There was a lady sitting behind me. When I finished writing out Galatians 4, as we got into downtown Seattle a thought came into my mind, "Why do you have the Gospel Journey tracts in your coat pocket all these past months and never share them with anyone. Please tell this woman behind you that I AM is thinking of her and to have a blessed day. I pondered about it for a minute or so and then reached into my pocket, took one out and turned around and got her attention and said to her, "God told me to tell you He is thinking of you right now and would like you to have a blessed day and that I should give this to you." Her response was very touching. She said, "God is so good and He is never late. Thank you."
Then as I was walking to my office I stopped by my favorite coffee shop. I had been thinking of one of the girls (Deborah). As I paid for my coffee I told her that I had been thinking of her this morning and told her to have a very blessed day. Then I said, "You are very important to me, Deborah and the Lord told me to give this to all of the people I care about today.", and I handed her tract. While I was waiting for my latte the Lord said "give each one of these ladies a tract and bless them", so I gave one to Brooke, and to Whitney and told them I loved them and to have very blessed morning.
I am very anxious to talk to each of them later today when I go back for my coffee refill. As I left the shop I observed that each one of them was reading the tract.
PD, have a very blessed day!
Roxanne
