TAKING THE BAD WITH THE GOOD

Oh great.... we're on Job again! Boy does the year go fast.... too fast!
So here's Job, everything is going great and everything is turning up roses. However one day Job wakes up and disaster hits and I mean HITS BIG!!!! and these are the first words that come out of his mouth:
Job 3:1-3
3:1 After this, Job opened his mouth and cursed the day of his birth.
2 He said:
3 "May the day of my birth perish,
and the night it was said, 'A boy is born!' NIV
Oh and by the way..... "John 11:24... Jesus wept." is not the shortest verse in the bible... Job 3:2 is "He said:"...... :)
But it amazes me that Job has everything he could ever want and then when troubles come, his mouth or his heart does not remember all the blessings that he had the opportunity to behold (many people will never even come close to the blessings Job experienced and still find themselves in the depths of dispare!). Now I'm not one to judge Job, because i'm the biggest whinner there is when it comes to having trouble, tribulation and trials! I'm a big fat baby man and I sure hope Jesus comes back BEFORE the tribulation hits this world. But i'm definately learning from this, that we need to take the bad with the good. now I didn't say "ACCEPT"the bad with the good but take it. what you do with the bad is up to you and how you've been trained and how you've prepared yourself. the great thing here is Job was free to express himself but not once did he sin against God throughout his trial and suffering. Thanks Job for being a great example to me. may I remeber your life's example when I fall down and get hurt.

Pastor Dave
