MAKE DISCIPLES

Matt 28:18-1918 Then Jesus came to them and said, "All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. 19 Therefore go and make disciples of all nations,NIV

Last words of Jesus? “Go and make disciples!” He says it with all His authority in mind and yet because He died for the church, He gives the church the power of attorney to speak His authority. It’s clear here that Jesus shows where the authority is coming from and what we are to do now that we can walk in it. “Go and make disciples!” There is great work to be done because to just read the words “go and make disciples” is not as easily as it sounds. This is a life time achievement to make disciples.
Webster’s def. is: 1: one who accepts and assists in spreading the doctrines of another: as a: one of the twelve in the inner circle of Christ's followers according to the Gospel accounts b: a convinced adherent of a school or individual.
I like the letter (b) “convinced individual.” I have become a disciple of Jesus Christ and my question is have you? Have you not become a convinced individual? Have you studies the scriptures? Can you not see that Jesus Christ is God by all the truth strung around you?
1 John 5:20-21
20 We know also that the Son of God has come and has given us understanding, so that we may know him who is true. And we are in him who is true — even in his Son Jesus Christ. He is the true God and eternal life. 21 Dear children, keep yourselves from idols. NIV
