HE STILL HAS MERCY

2 Sam 12:13
13 Then David said to Nathan, " I have sinned against the LORD." And Nathan said to David, "The LORD also has taken away your sin; you shall not die. NASU
** Every time I read this story it makes me sick. I cannot believe that a man who had honored God could do such outright horrible things. It makes me upset at David and I don’t even understand why God would let David live after murdering Uriah. Why? Why would this happen? The only thing that I can think about is in all this horrible stuff we see a God of mercy greater than we can ever imagine. When I see this story of God’s mercy and grace I can look at all the things that I’ve done and know that God is still forgiving and merciful today as He was back then. Oh God, I don’t understand all your ways but I choose to trust in you and know that you love me so much that you pour out your grace and mercy even in the middle of my mess. Thank You!
