FUNNY FRIDAY - LONG HAIR
A teenage boy had just gotten his driver's license and inquired of his father as to when they could discuss his use of the car.
His father said he'd make a deal with his son: "You bring your grades up from a C to a B average, study your Bible a little, and get your hair cut. Then we'll talk about the car."
The boy thought about that for a moment, decided he'd settle for the offer, and they agreed on it.
After about six weeks his father said, "Son, you've brought your grades up and I've observed that you have been studying your Bible, but I'm disappointed you haven't gotten your hair cut."
The boy said, "You know, Dad, I've been thinking about that, and I've noticed in my studies of the Bible that Samson had long hair, John the Baptist had long hair, Moses had long hair...and there's even strong evidence that Jesus had long hair."
To this his father replied, "Did you also notice they all walked everywhere they went?"

Pastor Dave,
I read all your blogs and just want to send you this as encouragement. I noticed there were no comments posted and I don't want you to think no one is reading your words of encouragement. I read them and am most encouraged everytime. I found it very interesting when I read "If My People,..." that I was thinking along the same lines this morning as I read God's word. I have been so busy at work trying to do the best I can and to have a good attitude. The only way I can do that is to seek God's face and trust totally in Him and to do my work as unto Him and not unto my boss or my company. The only way I made it successfully through my week was to seek Him constantly, moment by moment. And He was faithful. He never lets me down.
Thank you, Lord for all you do in my life and for the strength You give to me to perservere in my circumstances. In Jesus name, amen.
