1 Kings 11:9
9 The LORD was very angry with Solomon, for his heart had turned away from the LORD, the God of Israel, who had appeared to him twice. NLT** None of us are exempt from sin…. None. And yet this story continues to amaze me. God appears to Solomon twice and yet the power of lust of women takes priority over the fear of God. He gives up everything that God had planned for him and especially for his future family. I wonder how many decisions my forefathers have made that has cut me out of great and mighty blessings by the curse they set for me. Thank God He has redeemed me from the curse of the law through the death of His son Jesus Christ. It is my job however to break all curses set on me and my family from past decisions made. Again, here is the perfect picture that even this worlds riches and all this world has to offer is nothing compared to the joy of living for Jesus Christ. (just read Ecclesiastes and hear of all of Solomon’s book of whining and moaning)
