FEARING GOD

Prov 1:7
7 Fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge. Only fools despise wisdom and discipline. NLT** There is a lot to write about today with all the journal readings. But in my opinion, this is the greatest of them all. “Fearing God.” Such a small little thought…. And yet this two word phrase is the reason so many men and women no longer walk among the believers of Christ. Prov. Calls it, “the beginning of knowledge.” But I believe the church has stopped fearing God. We continue to sin and do our own things in our lives and in our churches because we don’t think there will be any consequences for our sin. We have dead churches because pastors fear men more than God. We have dead marriages because young men and women choose to chose their mates instead of seeking God out and letting Him chose them. We have dead Christians because we want to serve man made religion instead of true relationship with God. And even as I write this we have a dead America because we’re afraid of offending some other religion so we deny that this country is founded on ONE TRUE Gospel and that is the Gospel that Jesus Christ came into this world to die for our sins. He was crucified on a cross for our sins. He was put into a tomb and in 3 days He rose from the dead! AND HE IS THE ONLY WAY TO HEAVEN!!! There is NO OTHER WAY other than accepting Jesus Christ as you Lord and Savior. NONE! And America is fearing man instead of God and choosing to stop proclaiming this and America will pay for the sin of not fearing God. So today if you are a Christian…. Or should I say, a God fearing Follower of Christ, call out to God and ask him to forgive our country for the sins we’ve gotten ourselves into, starting with the sin of not fearing God.
