Easter Services

What a day it has been today! Two services at 2 different locations and I was blessed to preach a Easter message at both locations. I am so amazed at all the gifts and talent that everyone has to present to the Lord on His day. I just wanted to add to this blog that I wanted to tell all those that participated in the Easter productions at both locations I am blessed to have you all working with Tandi and I in presenting the gospel to our city. All the work that was put in during the pre-ceding weeks was amazing and I am so proud of you. I know that God will add to your eternal rewards great and mighty things.

Following in others footsteps

A man told the ringmaster that he was interested in joining the circus as a lion tamer. The ringmaster asked if he had any experience and the man said, "Why, yes. My father was one of the most famous lion tamers in the world, and he taught me everything he knew.""Really?" said the ringmaster. "Did he teach you how to make a lion jump through a flaming hoop?""Yes he did," the man replied."And did he teach you how to have six lions form a pyramid?""Yes he did," the man replied."And have you ever stuck your head in a lion's mouth?""Just once," the man replied. The ringmaster asked, "Why only once?"And the man said, "I was looking for my father." Thought for today
It is said that if you line up all the cars in the world end to end, someone would be stupid enough to try and pass them.

Taken from Mikeys funnies, this story is so true in trying to follow others. Remember, watch others and then only follow what you can really see yourself doing.

To my congregation

Sorry it’s been so long between postings but my past few weeks have been unbelievably busy. So here is a quick post to share some things that are on my heart. God has been so good to us here at Celebration. I am continually amazed at everything that is coming together as New Hope and Celebration merge together. My hope is that there will be no loss of people that would want to find a new church home but I know that would only be a miracle if all people involved stayed with the merge. (at least I’ve been told that it is very rare to keep all people in attendance that are involved in both churches) For those of you at Celebration let me just say that I am proud to be your pastor! I couldn’t have ever imagined being a pastor of such a wonderful group of people as yourselves. Thanks for your faithfulness in your attendance and support both vocally and financially. For my newly formed family of New Hope, I hope you will stay for a while and interact with Celebration. Ask questions about me and Tandi, the way things are done and anything that’s on your mind. Please know that there is room for everyone here and that it is my goal as pastor to make sure you have the very best fit in this body. I’m not asking you to do what you’ve always done in the past but to take time to pray and ask God what it is that would please Him and make you happy as well. I know that we all are in for a wonderful ride so buckle up and hang on…….

Our first combined service

God is doing an amazing thing with two churches. He is putting two churches together for His glory and for the increase of His kingdom. As pastor I am now put into a position of finding the right fit for all that is involved. As I spoke at our first combined service yesterday, I could feel the excitement from all involved and I knew that God was doing an exciting new thing in both congregations. I can’t wait to see what God has in store for us in the coming years.
Today’s journal comes from 2 Cor 3:17 “now the Lord is the Spirit and where the Spirit of the Lord is there is Liberty.” True freedom only comes from God. If we feel bound by our circumstances and all the things that surround us, we need to put our trust in God. My choice is Him, and all my decisions must come from Him through His word. Then and only then do I have true freedom.
