HOW MUCH ARE YOU WORTH?

How much are you worth? Or should I say, "how much is eternity worth to you?"

Mark 8:36-38 For what does it profit a man to gain the whole world, and forfeit his soul? 37 "For what will a man give in exchange for his soul?

So you live to 107 years old.... so you have all that you ever need or want.... maybe you are the highest paid baseball player in the world.... so you live in mansions and have butlers and maids.... you drive the most amazing cars on the face of the earth.... BUT.... what happens when you are breathing your last breath? will your wealth save you? will your cars drive you away from death? will all those parties and all the women you had be able to save you? According to the Word of God (the bible) you are in deep trouble without making a personal commitment to the Lord Jesus Christ.
One day we will all come to the point of death and then we face eternity.... eternity with or without God. I compell you to know Jesus and give your life to Him. Only He can save you from eternity without God.
Bow your head right now and ask Him to forgive you of all your sins and thenyou will have the hope of life after death.

NOT TOO BIG FOR HIS BRITCHES

Acts 28:3 "But when Paul had gathered a bundle of sticks and laid them on the fire...." Here Paul sets a great example after saving the whole ship and the people aboard. He sets himself up as a great evangelist and man of God and in the case of many men and women of God, he could have just sat back and watched everyone else work and get the fire going. Instead he jumps up and gathers wood in stead of sitting back and being a big shot. He was not afraid to work! and because of his working by gathering sticks, a snake bites him and puts him in a new category. "great man of God" or as they put it "a god" because he did not die by the snake bite. The next thing you know, he's healing all the islands sick people. I've seen so many people (after they get letters after their name or do great tasks for God) change into people who think that a little helping hand is below them. I think they miss out on some great opportunites to put themselves in a whole new category as Paul did by lending a helping hand and next thing you know..... Miracles are happening because of a little hard work.

ONE AMAZING SERVICE

WOW! It's amazing how God moved on our service yesterday. Being obediant is what God want from His children. He longs to move among them and when He sees a congregation that is fasting and praying for a move of His Spirit, He will gladly come and show them great and mighty things and set people free. We definately saw God move on different lives yesterday and saw people open up to His moving and they were not dissappointed. God is so Awesome, I love Him so much. He is above ALL gods and He never fails nor does He lie. There is no god beside Him nor has there ever been a god that comes close to the great Jehovah God. He is the more than enough God and His promises are YES and AMEN..... so be it!

IT'S STILL RAINING

I woke up today and Tandi told me she was going to go for a walk with Aaron. I immediately looked outside and checked for rain. None. After they got back I checked on the rain report from them and they announced that yes they did get a few sprinkles but not soaked. It's so funny how we check on the forcast each day to see what we should be wearing but we don't always check on the spirits forcast to see what we should be wearing spiritually. for instance, when we get up in the morning most of us don't really know what is going to happen to us throughout the day so we get up and do our daily routine and then go to work or wherever it is we go. When we lay our heads on our pillows at night we then rate the day on our experiences. Good day? Bad day? day from hell? or delightful "I want to live this day over for the rest of my life" day? What if when we got up we could know what the day holds and get ready for it in advance? The Holy Spirit knows what our day is going to be. The word of God says "Put on the FULL armor of God so you can be ready" Relying upon the Holy Spirit for guidance and tighting up our armor to be ready is all we can do each day. If we follow His guiding and know that He will take us to the places that our armor can withstand the beating then we can lay our heads on our pillows each night and say "yes, i could live this day again because I was prepared for anything."
Prayer, and dressing for the day is the first and most important thing we can do for ourselves and for those around us..... but that's just another blog to write about....

TAKING THE BAD WITH THE GOOD

Oh great.... we're on Job again! Boy does the year go fast.... too fast!
So here's Job, everything is going great and everything is turning up roses. However one day Job wakes up and disaster hits and I mean HITS BIG!!!! and these are the first words that come out of his mouth:
Job 3:1-3
3:1 After this, Job opened his mouth and cursed the day of his birth.
2 He said:
3 "May the day of my birth perish,
and the night it was said, 'A boy is born!' NIV
Oh and by the way..... "John 11:24... Jesus wept." is not the shortest verse in the bible... Job 3:2 is "He said:"...... :)
But it amazes me that Job has everything he could ever want and then when troubles come, his mouth or his heart does not remember all the blessings that he had the opportunity to behold (many people will never even come close to the blessings Job experienced and still find themselves in the depths of dispare!). Now I'm not one to judge Job, because i'm the biggest whinner there is when it comes to having trouble, tribulation and trials! I'm a big fat baby man and I sure hope Jesus comes back BEFORE the tribulation hits this world. But i'm definately learning from this, that we need to take the bad with the good. now I didn't say "ACCEPT"the bad with the good but take it. what you do with the bad is up to you and how you've been trained and how you've prepared yourself. the great thing here is Job was free to express himself but not once did he sin against God throughout his trial and suffering. Thanks Job for being a great example to me. may I remeber your life's example when I fall down and get hurt.

SNUGGLEING UP TO HIM

He has been speaking to me and showing me that people do not long to be close to Him as much anymore. That they love the world and it's bright lights much more than the glory He has to offer. He also shows me that the ones that are concerned about the little things that they feel are wrong before the King of Kings are those who are in the shadow of His wings. Keep going strong, He is so very proud of you. There is just so much to gain striving for perfection and Holiness in the eyes of our everyloving savior Jesus Christ. Snuggle up next to Him and enjoy the presence of the Almighty God! There has never been a better time to do that than right now. Steal away and find time to talk to Him, to pray, to call out His name in the midst of a loud and busy world.

ONE NIGHT WITH THE KING

Ok, Ok, I'm always so picky about movies about the bible times because they always have to hollywoodize everything. Several parts were very moving and Tandi and I did enjoy most of the movie. The problem I had wasn't that we didn't understand the movie but my concern is that if anyone who goes and watches the movie without first reading or understanding the story of Esther they will get lost thoughout the movie. I also thought they needed to make more of a difference in the two characters of Mordicai and the General to the king. I kept getting them mixed up because they were dressed quite abit alike and the story line just didn't seem clear enough. It definately is a matinee watch and also a video rental watch or even buy but first read the book of Esther and then watch the movie.

SPIRITUAL SPANKING

Heart's Ablaze video series is amazing! Amazing but very hard on the spiritual behind.... Ouch! Can you say the word S T R E T C H? I wouldn't have it any other way.... I really do want to live a life that is pleasing to God and I want Him to be happy with my life and the fruit that I produce. I want to be a tree that produces GOOD FRUIT.
Thanks God for setting the pace for me and helping me to keep my life in line with Your will.
