IT'S ABOUT TIME

Yea, Yea, I know..... It's about time I posted again! So much to do and not enough time to do it. and I know what you're thinking.... "it doesn't take all that long of a time to post does it?" No.... and I don't know what mental block that resides in this brain of mine that somehow just keeps my fingers from typing on this failing notebook computer. I met with the Jehovah's Witness this week..... God was good and they were confused.... It's amazing to me how difficult man has tried to make salvation. It's very simple.... Man sinned in the garden... God so loved the world that He sent His Son Jesus Christ in the flesh to die for our sins... "By grace you are saved and not of works lest anyone should boast"... After He was laid in the grave tomb, He rose from the dead PHYSICALLY, salvation comes to those who believe that Jesus Christ died for their sins...
Yet man still tries to bring God down to our level and make Him understandable. It's not going to happen! Man WILL NEVER understand God, The Holy Spirit or Jesus Christ! NEVER! The JW's just couldn't give me a good enough reason to believe their filth. So I sent them on and told them to stay out of my neighborhood spreading their lies and deception.
So, here's a joke I picked up to lighten up the rest of this blog:

An elderly couple were celebrating their sixtieth anniversary. The couple had married as childhood sweethearts and had moved back to their old neighborhood after they retired.
Holding hands they walked back to their old school. It was not locked, so they entered, and found the old desk they'd shared, where Andy had carved "I love you, Sally."
On their way back home, a bag of money fell out of an armored car, practically landing at their feet. Sally quickly picked it up, but not sure what to do with it, they took it home. There, she counted the money - fifty-thousand dollars!
Andy said, "We've got to give it back."
Sally said, "Finders keepers." She put the money back in the bag and hid it in their attic.
The next day, two FBI agents were canvassing the neighborhood looking for the money, and knocked on the door. "Pardon me, but did either of you find a bag that fell out of an armored car yesterday?"
Sally said, "No."
Andy said, "She's lying. She hid it up in the attic."
Sally said, "Don't believe him, he's getting senile."
The agents turn to Andy and began to question him.
One says: "Tell us the story from the beginning."
Andy said, "Well, when Sally and I were walking home from school yesterday..."
The other FBI agent turns to her partner and says, "We're outta here."

KNOWING WHO TO FOLLOW

2 Sam 15:19-22
19 The king said to Ittai the Gittite, "Why should you come along with us? Go back and stay with King Absalom. You are a foreigner, an exile from your homeland. 20 You came only yesterday. And today shall I make you wander about with us, when I do not know where I am going? Go back, and take your countrymen. May kindness and faithfulness be with you."
21 But Ittai replied to the king, "As surely as the LORD lives, and as my lord the king lives, wherever my lord the king may be, whether it means life or death, there will your servant be."
22 David said to Ittai, "Go ahead, march on." So Ittai the Gittite marched on with all his men and the families that were with him. NIV

Ittai apparently heard about David and then after he met David as King decided to follow him. We need to look around us and find those people who are totally dedicated to God and hang out with them and follow their example of Godliness. Also Ittai had his chance to leave before trouble arrived but he chose to stay true to the Anointing that David had.

THE MOMMY TEST

Ok, it's my day off but I couldn't resist waiting until tomorrow to post this. Happy Mothers Day all of you faithful women that work so hard raising your children... Enjoy!

THE MOMMY TEST
I was out walking with my 4-year-old daughter. She picked up something off the ground and started to put it in her mouth. I took the item away from her and I asked her not to do that.
"Why?" my daughter asked.
"Because it's been laying outside, you don't know where it's been, it's dirty and probably has germs" I replied.
At this point, my daughter looked at me with total admiration and asked, "Wow! How do you know all this stuff?"
"Uh," I was thinking quickly, "All moms know this stuff. It's on the Mommy Test. You have to know it, or they don't let you be a Mommy."
We walked along in silence for 2 or 3 minutes, but she was evidently pondering this new information.
"Oh! I get it!" she beamed, "So if you don't pass the test you have to be the daddy."
"Exactly," I replied back with a big smile on my face and joy in my heart.

WE ARE BLESSED

God is so good to us. No matter who you are or where you live, God has a special plan for your life. What do you do well? Everyone has something. What is it that you do? How easy it is to get so wrapped up in all the stuff of this life that we forget to focus on what God has done for us and all the blessings He has made available to us every day. Here in America, we have more than enough. And even though we seem to be blessed more that other places in the world, we also have a greater responsibility to pass our blessings onto those who are in need all around the world. Along with the blessings will also be a greater judgment for God for what we did with all the excess that we are blessed with. That doesn’t leave those who “seem to be not as blessed” as others to just sit back and expect blessings from other countries or others. What am I saying? Be thankful for all you have and if you ever find your self with more than what you need, then give it to others that can use it or need it. There are many scriptures that back this blog and I could list them here but if I did all the work for you, you wouldn’t get the blessing from looking up in GOD’S WORD and increasing in knowledge on your own. :)
